Mersey Valley travel to Skelmersdale on Saturday for their opening Cheshire Football League fixture against league new boys Clay Brow FC.

It's been a very busy few weeks for new manager Jon Hudson who has built a brand-new squad, with 11 players set to make their club debuts in the game tomorrow afternoon.

Hudson commented "We knew we had to improve the group, we were impressed with a lot of the lads from last season to be fair but I had a clear vision of who I wanted to bring in to the club. Pre-season has not been ideal with us starting quite late and needing time to get lads in but we are happy with the group and can't wait to get started!"
