Girls Trials and Women’s Section Launch

Girls Trials and Women’s Section Launch

Saturday 14th August 12pm – 2pm

Mersey Valley FC is delighted to announce details of its upcoming women’s section launch at Banky Lane which will include open trials and coaching for all age groups of female players from age 6 right up to age 16.

At Mersey Valley FC we pride ourselves on football for all and being an inclusive club, which offers hundreds of local youngsters the chance to play football from age 2 right up to age 16. In addition, we have an established Women’s team playing in the North West Women’s Regional league and a cup-winning Veterans team.

If your child does join one of our Mersey Valley mixed gender teams then they will receive support, guidance, and encouragement from our FA trained coaches, who are in turn supported by our Football Development Team which is led by UEFA B coach Dave Wood. We believe all our players should be given match time if they are available to play and we always put child welfare at the top of our priorities.

On the day the open trials and coaching will be led by our football development deputy lead, David Hurst, who has been integral to the planning of this event, and he will be supported by members of our Ladies football team.

In addition to the open trials, the event on Saturday 14th August will include the launch of our new Women’s Section which aims to support the interests and wellbeing all female players, supporters, coaches, and parents of MVFC.

To get involved in the trials, or to find out more about the Women’s Section, simply come down to the club on Banky Lane between 12 and 2pm on Saturday 14th August.

If you have any queries prior to the event, please contact Tracy Smith on mvfcwelfare@gmail.com.
